Hey friends! Today we’re diving into a two player card game Air, Land and Sea. Ranked in the top 500 overall and top 500 in strategy on BoardGameGeek. It’s quick, easy to learn and full of tactical fun. I like to call it the one to play on weekdays when you don’t have much time or energy to think too hard but still want a little strategy, or even better, the one to have on your carry on while traveling through air, land, or sea. So, Lets start!
Air, Land & Sea (2019)

How to Play
Setup There are three theaters, Air, Land and Sea. Shuffle them and place them in a row in the center of the table. Next, shuffle the First and second player cards and deal one to each player. This decides who goes first and how scoring works at the end of the round. Finally, shuffle the rest of the deck and deal six cards to each player.
On your turn, you simply play one card into one of the three theaters on your side. Cards have numbers and special abilities that can change the game, so where and when you play them really matters.
Winning the Battle When both players stop playing, each theater is checked. Whoever has the higher total wins that area. Win more areas and you win the battle.
Winning the Game Battles are quick, and points add up fast. The first player to reach the target score wins the game.

Pros
Simple to learn but still strategic.
Small packaging, easy to take with you anywhere.
Affordable and great value for money.
Great re playability despite its size.
Quick gameplay, perfect for short sessions.

Cons
- It’s all about air, land and sea battles, a unique theme, but it plays more like a tactical card game, so it’s not for everyone!
- Only for two players, so its not great if you want a bigger group game.
- Luck can play a big role, since rounds are short and the card pool is limited.

POV
Air, Land & Sea is the kind of game I reach for when I want a quick, fun challenge. I love the artwork, It reminds me a bit of childhood memories. Rounds last around 20 minutes so the game is fast but still satisfying. The mix of randomness and tactical choices keeps every game feeling fresh, even after multiple plays, which makes it easy to come back to again and again. It’s simple, clever, and definitely deserves a spot in your collection.
Until next time, happy gaming!
