Hey friends! I’m back with another cooperative board game, and this one is made just for two! Have you ever dreamed of being a pilot? In Sky Team (2023), one of you takes the role of the pilot and the other the co-pilot, and together you’ll have to make critical decisions to land your plane safely. This game has been trending on BGG top lists for the past two years and for good reason. It’s tense, clever, and totally unique. Buckle up… prepare for landing!
Sky Team (2023)

How to Play (A very short one to give you the general idea)
- One player is the pilot, the other is the co-pilot.
- Roll your dice and secretly place them on the cockpit board to control the plane.
- Work together to manage speed, altitude, and direction to land safely before fuel runs out.

Into the box and to the game
Inside the box, you’ll find the cockpit board, dice for both players, tokens, and plenty of scenario cards that change up the airports and landing conditions. The box itself is about the size of a big book, and the components are a mix of wooden planes and cups plus sturdy cardboard. For the price, it’s all very solid and totally captures the feeling of being in a cockpit! The game is clear about what you need to do for each destination. The difficulty levels increase as you go, which keeps it interesting. The first setup takes a little work while you’re learning, but after a few plays it becomes second nature.

Why You’ll Love It
Unique theme You don’t often get to be a pilot and co-pilot in a board game! That alone makes it stand out!
Variety of airports Each destination has photos and details that make it feel different, keeping the game fresh.
Teamwork under pressure Since your dice are hidden, you’ll need to silently communicate and read each other’s choices. It adds tension in a fun way and makes every landing feel special.
Affordable Around £20-£25 in the UK and under $30 in the US, it’s a great value for a full co-op experience.
Replayability Even with the standard airports, each game feels unique thanks to the dice and player decisions, so it’s easy to play again and again.
What to Keep in Mind
Luck of the dice Sometimes the rolls just don’t go your way, and that’s frustrating! That’s really the only minus I can find in this game. You depend a lot on your dice, and once I even had a bad game just because of unlucky throws.
POV
Sky Team is one of the most unique 2 player co-op games I’ve tried. It’s quick, tense, and always keeps you on edge in a good way. I’m not a frequent flyer, traveling stresses me out, and I was born with anxiety but I really enjoy playing this game in the comfort of my own home. You get me? If you love teamwork and don’t mind a bit of dice luck, this one’s a must-try!
Until next time, happy gaming!
